The Robin Sun Solar Thermal Glass is an insulated glass unit that include inside a half-transparent solar thermal collector who works as solar protection.
As a solar thermal facade it has to be mounted in a fix frame: Curtain wall, windows pane (wood, wood-alu, alu., PVC) or directly in the wood structure oriented from South-East to South-West (Northern hemisphere).

Depending on the seasons, the half-transparent solar thermal collector placed at the center of the glass and the associated reflectors strips transform solar protection into hot water. The hot water is then transferred to a storage and released for hot tap water, heating requirements,…

As a multi-functional transparent glass wall, the Solar Thermal Glass is at the same time:
- a thermal insulation to reduce heating needs
- a solar protection to prevent overheating in summer and favor passive solar income in winter season
- a solar thermal collector to produce hot water all over the year
- a daylighting way to distribute lighting particularly at the far end of the room
- a phonic and electromagnetic insulation to favor life quality
- Safety protection for the persons and values can be freely adjusted
